Bobby Brown has criticized the release of an autopsy report revealing his daughter Bobbi Kristina’s cause of death.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s autopsy had been sealed following her death in July last year, but after a request from a TV station, her cause of death was revealed by the Fulton County Examiner on Friday.

The autopsy report gave Brown’s cause of death as drug intoxication and drowning.

In a statement, her father slammed the releasing of the results, which were lifted before the wrongful death investigation into Brown’s boyfriend Nick Gordon had been concluded.

“Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl,” Brown’s father said. “For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter’s autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family.”

A toxicology report found marijuana, alcohol, anti-anxiety medications, a “cocaine-related substance,” and morphine in her system when she was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home in January last year.

Brown was placed in a medically induced coma and died in a Hospice in Duluth, Georgia on July 26.

A statement from the medical examiner ahead of the release of the autopsy results said, “The underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death and in this case is the immersion associated with drug intoxication.”

However, it was unable to determine whether Brown’s death was accidental, or an intentional act.

“Death was clearly not due to natural causes, but the medical examiner has not been able to determine whether death was due to intentional or accidental causes, and has therefore classified the manner of death as undetermined,” the statement continued.

Following Brown’s death, her 22-year-old boyfriend Gordon was hit with a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit from Brown’s court-appointed co-conservator, Bedelia Hargrove. District Attorney Paul Howard had argued that releasing the autopsy details could hamper the investigation into Gordon’s alleged involvement in Brown’s death.

Gordon denies any wrongdoing and at the time of the filing, his former legal team called the lawsuit “slanderous and meritless,” and a “fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.”

Eyewitnesses have previously stated Brown and Gordon’s romance was a turbulent one, fueled by drugs. Brown’s family barred her boyfriend from visiting the tragic youngster during the final months of her life.

Brown was the only child born to the late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown during their 15 year marriage.

Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in February 2012. Authorities determined that her cause of death was accidental drowning.
