Charlie Sheen Sued Over Unpaid Credit Card Bill
Charlie Sheen has been hit with more legal trouble after failing to pay thousands on a credit card bill. The former Two and a Half Men star was served with papers by executives at American Express, who claim he owes them a balance of $287,879.28, from his Platinum AmEx card.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Sheen was given the deadline of March 12 to pay the outstanding bill, but failed to pay them back. The balance also includes more than $8,000 in late fees. When asked about the lawsuit, Sheen blamed a former business manager for the entire matter, but told TMZ: “If I was AmEx, I’d be suing me too!” This is the latest drama for Sheen, who has recently been embroiled in a legal battle with ex-fiancee Brett Rossi, who claimed her life was in danger when the actor reportedly threatened her life. Rossi is also currently suing Sheen for battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress for allegedly failing to inform her he was HIV-positive before they had unprotected sex. The actor went public with his diagnosis last November.
