Enrique Iglesias Lost Feeling in Finger After Drone Accident
Enrique Iglesias cannot feel anything in his finger following a frightening drone accident last year. During a concert in Tijuana, Mexico, last May, the “Hero” singer’s fingers were sliced up when he grabbed a flying drone, and blood covered his white shirt as he attempted to stop the bleeding on stage.
He was later diagnosed with a fracture and subsequently underwent reconstructive surgery, but during a recent interview on Univision’s Primer Impacto show, he admitted he’s still suffering lasting effects from the injury. “Honestly, I still can’t feel anything on this finger,” he confessed. “I still can’t feel anything from the nail and below that.” Iglesias went on to describe the harrowing incident, recalling, “To be honest with you, with all of the adrenaline I didn’t feel it much. I was really surprised with the amount of blood I was losing. I felt a bit of shame and embarrassment in front of my fans, especially with the crowd that was right in the very front.” “Every time I would move my hand, you could just see blood everywhere. And at that moment I didn’t realize how bad it was because I couldn’t feel pain. I felt pain after the surgery. Really, what I did was a huge stupidity.”
