George Clooney and Rande Gerber Sell Off Casamigos Retreat – Report
George Clooney has reportedly sold the Mexican retreat he shares with Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford. For years, George and the Gerbers have been jetting off to their Casamigos compound in Cabo for a little fun in the sun, but now they’re building a new pad nearby they have no use for the Ricardo Legorreta-designed property, and they’ve offloaded it to a Mexican businessman for an estimated $100 million, according to TMZ.
Meanwhile, Clooney and his wife, British human rights attorney Amal, have just moved in to a 17th century country home in Oxfordshire, England they purchased for $15 million in 2014, and then spent months seeking planning permission for additions to the Grade II listed building and renovating. The Clooneys’ new pad now features a swimming pool, hot tub, pool house, boat house and a private cinema, as well as top of the range security features. The nine-bedroom mansion also includes a gym, steam room, library and a wine cellar, which came with the property when the new owners bought it two years ago.
