Like any other American holiday, Easter is a time of consumption. We spend more money on candy for Easter than we do for Halloween. Unfortunately, all that sugar isn’t good for our waistlines or our health.
The good news is that you can still enjoy Easter treats without the guilt. There are plenty of recipes out there for cool, festive snacks that won’t spike your blood sugar. Here, we have 10 delicious treats you can make for friends or family to have a happy, healthy Easter.
Frozen Fruit Eggs
From No Time for Flash Cards, we have this simple yet awesome recipe for making frozen Easter eggs with blended fruit and yogurt. You just need an Easter egg mold to pour your mixture into and freeze, and voila, delicious, healthy eggs.
Every kid likes goldfish, and if you use organic bunny crackers like the ones pictured above, it can be a healthy alternative to chocolate. Just buy icing holders, fill them with the crackers, and tie a green ribbon around the top to make it look like a carrot. See how it’s done here.
Easter Egg Surprise
Instead of filling your kids’ eggs with chocolate or candy, fill them with grapes, carrots, almonds, and apple slices! You can really fill these plastic eggs with anything you can dream up, but the idea is: the healthier the better!
Bunny Popcorn Bags

Boiled Egg Chick Faces
It’s actually super easy to turn hard boiled eggs into baby chicks. The hardest part, as the tutorial says, is boiling the egg. Once you have that down, just cut little wedges from carrots for the nose and use black sesame seeds for eyes.
This is a really cute idea. Taste and Tell takes small, terra cotta pots, fills them with hummus, and plants little carrots inside to look like a garden. If this doesn’t get your kid excited about carrots, we don’t know what will.
Veggie Bird Nest

Strawberry Yogurt Carrots
