A visit to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., recently took an awe-inspiring turn when one woman decided to break out into song causing the entire crowd behind her to stop dead in their tracks. According to a post from Love What Matters, a woman by the name of Genleah Swain was at the monument in the nation’s capital where she delivered a rousing rendition of the national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
At first, Swain is competing with the commotion of other visitors behind her, but as her vocals rang out through the concrete walls, scores of passersby go quiet, turning their attention to Swain and remain stunned through her final note. Watch the powerful song in the video below. Try not to get goosebumps.
